A modern take on juggling led to a standing ovation from Dixie State University students Wednesday night.
Juggler and comedian Charles Peachock came to DSU to help celebrate the D-Week festivities. Peachock gained a lot of attention for his juggling prowess on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” according to AGT wiki.com. He appeared on the show originally in June of 2011. The crowd quickly warmed up to Peachock’s talent and humor.
Stanley Liaga, a sophomore communication major from Anchorage, Alaska, said he was most impressed with “how precise and on point [Peachock] was.”
“He was very interactive with the crowd,” Liaga said. “My favorite part was at the end when he was swinging the lights and lit up the Dixie State logo.”
The crowd cheered and laughed as Peachock incorporated balls, knives, lit-up bowling pins, rings, audience members and jokes into his performance. He managed to make the juggling interesting by doing unique and difficult throwing and catching styles and rhythms and also by juggling as many as 7 balls.
