The United States of America has been strongly branded by Lady Liberty’s presence, ever since the nation was gifted her from France in the 1800’s.
A new American landmark is now taking shape, and its designer, Gary Price, made a stop in St. George Friday to help promote the statue, and also teach the lesson the new statue will represent, responsibility.
The 300-foot-tall statue will be constructed of stainless steel and displays two hands grasping one another. The location for the new statue has not yet been decided, but will be placed along the west coast. Cities along the coast will be vying for the Statue of Liberty’s counterpart, and what is being called the other American bookend.
