Women’s soccer wins in final seconds

Dixie State University women’s soccer team came up clutch in the final minutes in its win at Westminster College.

After a back and forth scoreless stalemate for 86 minutes, DSU’s junior forward Darian McCloy finally broke through the drought to give DSU a 1-0 lead.

Junior defender Montana Hadley misfired on a free kick, but McCloy was there for the rebound and put back.

After giving up three goals in its previous game against Sonoma State University, the Trailblazers had a strong showing defensively only allowing three shots on goal by the WC offense.

The DSU women’s soccer team plays again Sat at Southern Utah University at 1 p.m.
