A two car accident Friday evening sends two to the hospital, with one by Life Flight.
Sgt. Craig Harding with the St. George Police Department told SUN News that a vehicle was on waiting to turn onto mall drive when a vehicle traveling an unknown direction on Mall Drive apparently struck the front of his vehicle causing the second vehicle, a red Jeep to go over the curb, and down an embankment, coming to rest on the roof. Two passengers were trapped inside and had to be cut out of the vehicle by the jaws of life. One passenger in the Jeep was life flighted from the scene.
Heavy pedestrian traffic impacted the scene, and may have caused difficulties for officials in their investigation of what happened. At this point, alcohol and excessive speed have not been ruled out as causes of the accident.
