Warren Jeffs has returned to an east Texas prison facility, after his scarce eating habits put him in the hospital. Michelle Lyons, the Texas Department of Criminal Justice public information officer, announced the return yesterday, while officially putting rumors of his ‘medically induced coma’ to rest.
Jeffs was placed under hospital care on the 29th of August, when it was noticed that he was either unable or refused to eat or drink properly.
He is currently serving in a Polunsky prison facility, after being convicted of sexual crimes against underage girls. He is also seeking a retrial, claiming the courts violated his religious freedom. However, it is widely understood that another trial would be unnecessary.
