Motorcycle Accident Sends One to Hospital

    An accident on River Road sends one motorcyclist to the hospital with minor injuries. 

    Around noon on Tuesday a motorcyclist traveling southbound on River Road was cut off by a car making a U-turn. The motorcyclist was forced to lay down the bike to avoid hitting the automobile. The biker was wearing shorts and no protective gear and was transported to Dixie Regional Medical Center with superficial injuries. 

    With an average of one motorcycle or scooter accident per week in the St. George area, citizens are urged to be always be on the lookout for motorcyclist.

    Sgt. Craig Harding of the St. George Police Department urges motorcyclist to wear protective gear including a helmet, long clothing, and shoes that go past the ankle when riding. He also encourages automobilists to slow down and pay attention to their surroundings.
