The Desert Hills Thunder traveled across town to play the Pine View Panthers, and they came to win.
Right out of the gate, Porter Harris put up six for Desert Hills with a 80-yard run. Pine View answered with a short pass to Arslanian to end the first quarter tied up at seven. In the second period, Ty Rutledge dashed across the line for another Thunder score, and Pine View responded with a 10-yard pass from Kody Wilstead to Arslanian again, to finish the half all tied up at 14.
The second half remained scoreless until 1:05 remaining when Mike Needham carried the ball 22 yards to give the Thunder a 21-14 victory. Needham had 15 carries with 124 yards. Porter Harris added 92 yards on 11 carries and a touchdown of his own.
