Panthers Fall in Battle With Leopards


The Panthers of Pine View High School hosted the Leopards of East High School out of Salt Lake City Friday night. 

The Leopards jumped out to an early 13-0 lead in the first quarter. Pine View battled back in the first half to score three consecutive touchdowns, to take a 21-13 lead into halftime. 

Coming out of halftime refreshed, the Leopards put 15 points on the board in the third period of play to take a 28-21 lead. 

The Leopards held on to their lead in the fourth quarter and finished off the Panthers 35-27. Jason Cook led East High School with three rushing touchdowns. Braxton Peterson led the Panthers with three touchdowns of his own, but the Panthers came up short in the end. 

Next week the Panthers travel to Nevada to face Desert Pines.
