SAN ANGELO, Texas –FLDS leader Warren Jeffs has received the maximum sentence for his convicted crimes Tuesday of sexually assaulting two underage followers he took as brides in “spiritual marriages.”
The jury, taking less than a half hour to sentence Jeffs, announced the verdict while Jeffs stood quietly, receiving life in prison.
Jeffs is the eighth FLDS man convicted since raids of the FLDS compound in Texas.
