St. George police and fire crews received a call around 10:30 a.m. Saturday on reports of a structure fire. Upon arriving at the scene, a house located at 844 W. 1250 N. near Elks Lodge was billowing smoke out of the attic. Crews consisting of multiple fire trucks, including a ladder truck, battled the blaze and were able to contain it mainly to the attic of the house.
The owners of the house were reportedly on vacation at the time, but relatives of the homeowners were at the scene. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
