Suspects Arrested at Marijuana Grow Set for Court

    Twenty-one suspects arrested in connection with a large marijuana grow are scheduled to appear in federal court.

    The suspects that were arrested on July 16 at the Cove Wash marijuana grow, just outside of Veyo Utah, were scheduled to appear in Salt Lake Federal Court Monday.

    They were indicted on multiple charges last week including conspiracy to manufacture a controlled substance by cultivation, manufacture of a controlled substance by cultivation, and possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking crime. 

    Authorities say the suspects are believed to be Mexican Nationals but are involved in drug trafficking in Nevada and Southern California. The Cove Wash marijuana grow contained over 13,000 plants. 

    Authorities in Iron County raided two marijuana grows on July 28, totaling over 15,000 plants.
