Eager to find out what’s new on the streaming platform this April 2025? Here’s a complete rundown.
While fans of TV series may be glued to the Max platform for season 2 of The Last of Us, the streaming giant Netflix is not backing down, offering an impressive array of new movies, series, and documentaries in April 2025.
The return of You and Black Mirror, as well as the highly anticipated animated series Astérix by Alain Chabat are strong contenders in maintaining its position as a global leader against Prime Video, Disney+, and Canal+.
But before we dive into the list of new additions for April, here as usual are the movie and series of the month on the service.
What are the different features of Netflix? Which subscription should you choose? How many movies and series are offered…
Netflix Series of the Month
Astérix & Obélix: The Battle of the Chefs
The last independent village in Gaul, the home of Astérix and Obélix, owes its superiority over the Romans to a magical potion. But when the Druid who concocts their potion loses his memory, the villagers are left to fend for themselves against the might of Rome.
More than two decades after Mission: Cleopatra, Alain Chabat dives back into the magical potion to bring us this new animated series featuring Astérix & Obélix. This six-episode program, based on the seventh adventure of the famous Gaul, promises to be fun, pop, and true to the original work. The voice cast is top-notch, featuring Alain Chabat, Gilles Lellouche, David Marsais, Grégoire Ludig, Fred Testot, Géraldine Nakache, Jean-Pascal Zadi, Alexandre Astier, Laurent Lafitte, and Jérôme Commandeur.
Available on Netflix from April 30.
Netflix Movie of the Month
Ravage
A drug trafficking case goes wrong, and a battered detective delves into the world of organized crime to rescue a politician’s son while trying to dismantle the complex web of corruption and conspiracy that looms over the entire city.
When Gareth Evans, the director of the acclaimed and intense The Raid in 2011, promises a night of relentless pursuit and violence led by an irate Tom Hardy, it’s a must-add to our watchlist. Especially when the star of Venom encounters acclaimed actors like Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland) and Timothy Olyphant (Justified).
Available on Netflix from April 25.
